For the second year, we are cooperating with Sources d’Espoir e.V. for the International Cultural Festival 2024 :
‘Afrofuturistic approaches from decolonial practice’.
On Saturday, 31 August 2024 from 13:00 to 19:00, we cordially invite you to the international cultural festival at Ja! space Mobiles Stadtteilzentrum. In cooperation with Sources d’Espoir e.V., we proudly present our TOUR 2024 programme.
Artists create their works in different languages and reflect on mother tongue, inherited language and accents.
In addition to the TOUR 2024 programme, there will be many other incredible artists, international food stalls, screen printing activities by the Multiplier Lab and much more! Don’t miss it!

SEÑORITA
Auf der Suche nach ihren Wurzeln im hybriden, pan-lateinamerikanischen Phänomen der Cumbia entwickelt SEÑORITA ihre Sets, indem sie Echtzeit-Elektronik mit Samples sowie Live-Instrumente mit verschiedenen Gesangstechniken mischt. Das Ergebnis lässt sich am besten als ein elektro-tropisches Pop-Experiment beschreiben, eine feierliche Erkundung kultureller Zwischenräume.

GIULIANA KIERSZ
(1991, Buenos Aires) is a poet, dramaturg, librettist and artist. In her work, she explores our relationship with language and reflects on specific contexts to create fantasies that shift political and social horizons.

PAMELA MORAGA
Pamela Moraga, Berlin-based since 2018, initiated her career as a freelance dancer and choreographer in Chile and has collaborated with important independent choreographers and companies in the region. After moving to Berlin she continued her work as a freelance dancer and choreographer working mainly in developing her own dance projects in collaboration with multidisciplinary artists of the independent Berlin art scene.
LATINX (Solo version)
Latinx is a solo dance performance that confronts the exploitative political agendas of Southcom in South America. Through a fusion of spoken word, Latin American rhythms, and dynamic movement, the artist constructs an imaginary stage where dance becomes a potent tool for resistance.

SHANTÍ VERA
Latin American artist. His artistic practice is a poetic and political commitment to the defense of the body. He conceives choreography as the possibility of imagining strategies of sensitive organization from the bodies that move to make something appear. He is artistic director of CUATRO X CUATRO (2007), a company with which he has presented his work in about twenty countries in Europe and Latin America, he is artistic director and curator of FESTIVAL4X4 (MX since 2009.

VOSEO DEL SUR
*Vosear is a way of speaking that comes from the south, but it is also a way of relating to the world, writing is also vosear, dancing is also vosear. I am a centromexican artist based in Berlin, neighbor of Weissensee, from dance and poetry I imagine spaces of mediation to meet with others, I consider artistic practice as a territory where it is possible to convene ephemeral collectivities, VOSEO DEL SUR talks about listening, involvement, it is a strategy of organization from language, action and contemplation.

The accessible toilet is located on the right-hand side of the entrance to the venue. It has a ramp. There is a shower in another room 3 metres away.

Tram stop nearby: Berliner Allee/Rennbahnstr. Tram 12, 27, 50, M1, M2, M4, M13 After the tram stop for line 12, Falkenberger Str., on foot (8 minutes); by bus (255) 7 minutes.
Accessible journey from the tram stop Berliner Allee/Rennbahnstr. From the tram stop Berliner Allee/Rennbahnstr. walk along Bernkasteler Str. in the direction of KUBIZ. After approx. 300 m you will find Neumagener Str. on the left-hand side. In the second street on the left-hand side after approx. 150 m you will find the Ja!Space district centre.
Accessible arrival from the bus stop Alt-Buch/Wiltbergstraße Walk along Liebermannstraße on the side of the Jehovah’s Witnesses | Kingdom Hall Berlin-Weißensee. After 50 m you will find the second street on the left, Neumagener Str. After approx. 120 m you will find the Ja!Space district centre.
